Our mission is to help you align yourself to your purpose through the resilience inherent in your body’s own healthy function.
Your mouth/midface/airway/throat are a major driver of neurological input, cues and processing for our neurologic and physiologic function and development. When your tongue, nose, lips and swallow work well, it can be said we are functioning properly. We breath, sleep, and eat well. We feel well. We know who we are as we are connected internally. The way the tongue interacts with the teeth developmentally gives us input of not only where we are in space but a concept of who we are in life. If we are not receiving these cues we display seeking behavior which can manifest in oral dysfunction. The tongue is meant to support and grow the mid face. If it’s compensating in another position, those neuromuscular patterns show themselves in craniofacial growth issues such as dental and skeletal malocclusion, sleep breathing disorders, tmj disorders, headaches, neck pain, ear dysfunction, sinus issues, deviated septum, etc…
Good oral function autoregulates your nervous system. With your lips together, tongue in the right position, nasal breathing and mature swallow your neurologic input calms your body’s nervous system to allow you to process trauma that you’ve experienced. Life is full of stress and trauma, that is well known. Good oral function helps your body return to homeostasis and build resilience through the neurologic connection inherent between your face and brain. When we have resilience, we bounce back from events that may have bumped us of off our path. When we have resilience, we are able to fulfill our life’s purpose, whatever that may be.
